There is only one Karate Families. We are not a chain, and do not intend to ever become one. We are a dojo where children and their parents can learn karate in a warm and loving atmosphere. Parents can watch lessons while enjoying our free wireless internet service, or can wander the shopping center while waiting for their children.
We teach Shokotan Karate, a form of traditional karate founded by Master Gichin Funakoshi. Its simple and direct moves make it much easier for children to learn. We use positive reinforcement in our teaching style to help students achieve their goals and have fun doing it. Our program includes many milestones that students achieve on the way, keeping them motivated all the way through their black belt.
There are many benefits to learning karate. Not only do you learn how to defend yourself, but you also build confidence in yourself too. You will notice how much better your agility, reflexes, coordination and balance become after studying for a while. You will also notice so many other unexpected benefits, such as being more compassionate, honorable and humble, as well as building patience, persistence and responsibility.
